Domatesli Un Corbasi – Flour Soup with Tomato


  • 1 lb. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 3 Tbs. flour
  • 3 Tbs. margarine
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt


In a soup pot, melt margarine, add flour and sauté until golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, beef broth and salt to taste. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, until tomatoes are cooked. Strain. In a small bowl, beat egg yolks and milk. Add to soup, stirring constantly. Heat soup for about 3 minutes and serve immediately.
