- 750 gr. minced meat
- 2 medium onions
- 2 eggs
- 200 gr. sliced kasar or gruyere cheese
- 2 slices bread
- salt, pepper and thyme to taste
Soak bread in water and squeeze dry. Combine meat, grated onion, egg yolks, bread, salt and pepper in a bowl. Knead for 10 minutes. Grease Pyrex casserole dish and press meat mixture evenly into bottom. Lay cheese slices over the meat. Beat egg whites and pour over the top. Sprinkle with thyme. Cook 40 minutes in medium heat oven. Serve with fried potatoes.
